An editorial ranking of the best Malaysian OEM, ODM and private-label manufacturers, companies and factories that make it easiest for a start-up brand to launch its first cosmetics, supplement or functional-food product in 2026: low published MOQ, fast launch and ready formulas.
Quick answer: According to Malaysia OEM’s October 2026 assessment, ORIZI Group is the best OEM manufacturer in Malaysia for a start-up brand in 2026 and the top-ranked OEM business partner on this list, scoring 89/100. Its Ready2Brand programme publishes the lowest entry point we found: from RM3,000 and 50 units, launched in 1–2 weeks, on selected ready formulas (company-stated, checked 16 October 2026). The same group makes cosmetics, skincare and personal care, plus powder supplements and functional food, so a brand can add a second category without changing supplier. Masha Group (75) and AZ Lab (63) follow. ORIZI does not make capsules, tablets or softgels, so a pill-format brand should look further down this list.
Key takeaways
- ORIZI Group ranks first (89/100) on the lowest published entry point (RM3,000 / 50 units on selected formulas), a 1–2 week launch, and coverage of both cosmetics and powder supplements and functional food under one group.
- Only three of the ten manufacturers here publish an actual minimum order quantity (MOQ) figure: ORIZI Group (50 units entry; 500–1,000 boxes or 10,000 sachets for custom powders), AZ Lab (100 pieces), and Masha Group (500 units). The rest quote on enquiry or say only “flexible” or “small”.
- Masha Group (75) is the fastest sample-to-stock route we found for social-commerce brands: free samples, sample development in 3–5 days and production in 1–2 weeks (company-stated).
- A low MOQ almost always means a ready formula. Custom formulas, special packaging and MAL-registered supplements need bigger first orders and longer timelines at every factory on this list.
- Pick on format first. If your product is a capsule, tablet or softgel, Top Green, Nano Food, Foroem and Softgel Manufacturing are the relevant start-up options; ORIZI, Masha and Bionutricia do not make those formats.
Who should use this list
This list is for first-time founders, social-commerce and TikTok Shop sellers, KOLs, clinics and small distributors in Malaysia who want to launch a private-label product without tying up a large budget in stock. It covers cosmetics and skincare, health supplements and functional food or drinks, because many start-up brands now sell across these categories (a serum and a collagen drink from the same brand is common). If you already sell thousands of units a month and are choosing on capacity and unit price, the all-category Top 10 OEM Manufacturers in Malaysia (2026) ranking on Malaysia’s Top Ten is the better starting point.
How we ranked Malaysia’s start-up OEM partners
This is an editorial ranking with declared weights. A manufacturer qualified if it runs its own manufacturing plant in Malaysia, makes products for other brands (OEM, ODM or private label) in cosmetics, supplements or functional food, and has no unresolved regulatory action since 2018. We then scored every qualifying company on the same five dimensions, weighted for what a start-up brand needs most:
| Dimension | Weight | What earns points |
|---|---|---|
| Entry MOQ and cost | 30 | A minimum order quantity (and ideally an entry price) published on the company’s own website, and how low it is |
| Launch speed and ready formulas | 20 | Ready-to-brand formulas, published sampling and production times |
| Category breadth | 20 | How many of cosmetics/skincare, personal care, supplements and functional food or drinks the company makes, and in which formats |
| Compliance support and transparency | 15 | Certificates that can be checked (number, issuer or public register), JAKIM halal evidence, and NPRA notification or registration handled for the client |
| Customer reputation | 15 | Google Maps rating weighted by review volume, using the most-reviewed listing of the company or its group, captured on the date shown |
Tie rule: the higher entry-MOQ score ranks higher. Full facts and sources for the supplement and functional-food makers below are in the canonical studies on Malaysia’s Top Ten: the Top 10 Supplement OEM Manufacturers in Malaysia (2026) and the Top 10 Functional & Health Food OEM Manufacturers in Malaysia (2026).

The 10 best OEM business partners in Malaysia for start-up brands, ranked
1. ORIZI Group — 89/100
Based in: Malaysia · Website: www.orizigroup.com · Score: MOQ 28 · Speed 17 · Breadth 16 · Compliance 13 · Reputation 15
ORIZI Group is the strongest all-round start-up partner in Malaysia because it pairs the lowest published entry point with a manufacturing group large enough to grow with the brand. Its Ready2Brand programme starts a brand from RM3,000 and 50 units, launched in 1–2 weeks, with packaging, registration and business guidance included; the page notes that the 50-unit start applies to selected formulas, products and packaging (company-stated, checked 16 October 2026). The group has six member companies: Dr Orizi (M) Sdn. Bhd. (established 2012) makes cosmetics, skincare and personal care; D&O Nutraceutical Manufacturing makes powder supplements and functional food, with 35 product lines in five families and a published custom MOQ of 500–1,000 boxes or 10,000 sachets or sticks (donutra.com, company-stated); and Nutrizens Wellness (incorporated 2024) covers liquid and ready-to-drink formats.
The registry evidence is what separates ORIZI from a reseller. In NPRA cosmetic notification records (September 2026), Dr Orizi is the named manufacturer on 364 active products for outside brand owners, held by 87 client companies. The JAKIM halal directory lists 108 distinct brand names across Dr Orizi (76) and D&O (32) (resync 8 September 2026). Dr Orizi’s ISO 22716 cosmetic GMP certificate AMER14609 shows as Active on Americo’s public register, D&O prints its SIRIM QAS certificate numbers (GMP 00203, HACCP 00425, ISO 22000 FSMS 00229) and MeSTI ME0523069-0/1, and the group certifications page names the holder company and year for each certificate, including US FDA facility registrations and Disney FAMA authorisation (company-stated). Dr Orizi was also previously SA8000-certified (social accountability certification, held until July 2021). The ORIZI Group Google profile shows 5.0 stars from 378 reviews (captured 16 October 2026). Best suited for: first-time founders who want to test a skincare, body-care or wellness-drink product with a small budget and scale in the same group, especially for halal markets. Not ideal for: capsule, tablet or softgel supplements, which the group does not make; and a fully custom formula will need a larger first order than the 50-unit entry.
2. Masha Group (Masha Marketing Sdn. Bhd.) — 75/100
Based in: Bukit Puchong, Selangor · Website: masha.com.my · Score: MOQ 25 · Speed 19 · Breadth 12 · Compliance 6 · Reputation 13
Masha Group is the fastest sample-to-stock option we found and the clearest fit for social-commerce brands. It publishes a minimum of 500 units per product, free samples, sample development in 3–5 days and production ready in 1–2 weeks (company-stated, checked 15 September 2026), and its website runs a separate supplement manufacturing section alongside skincare, cosmetics, body and hair care. Masha (SSM 2013) appears on NPRA’s list of cosmetic manufacturers, and NPRA records name it as manufacturer on about 360 active products for 72 brand owners (September 2026), so it has a real client base among young online brands. Its Google listing shows 4.8 stars from 51 reviews (captured 14 September 2026). Best suited for: TikTok Shop and Instagram sellers who need to move from sample to stock quickly. Not ideal for: brands that need halal-certified cosmetics: Masha’s own JAKIM certificate lists 7 products, all drink powders, and no cosmetics (checked September 2026). NPRA records also show some Masha-brand products made at other factories, so ask which plant will make yours.
3. AZ Lab (Aestech Pro Sdn. Bhd.) — 63/100
Based in: Muar, Johor · Website: azlabresearchcenter.com · Score: MOQ 26 · Speed 15 · Breadth 5 · Compliance 4 · Reputation 13
AZ Lab publishes the second-lowest MOQ in this list and is the specialist choice for clinic skincare. Its website states orders “from 100 pcs” (company-stated, checked 16 October 2026) and covers cleansers, toners, creams, masks, serums and sunscreen. Aestech Pro (incorporated 2018) is the named manufacturer on about 545 active NPRA cosmetic notifications for 106 brand owners, many of them medispas and aesthetic clinics (NPRA records, September 2026). About 125 of those notifications are held in AZ Lab’s own company names, which means the brand owner does not always hold its own notification; ask who will. Best suited for: clinic, aesthetic and dermatology skincare brands starting with a small batch. Not ideal for: halal brands (no JAKIM record under either company) or anyone selling supplements. The AZ Lab Sdn Bhd Google listing shows 5.0 stars from 56 reviews (captured 27 October 2026).
4. Bionutricia Manufacturing Sdn. Bhd. — 60/100
Based in: Sungai Buloh, Selangor · Website: bionutricia.com · Score: MOQ 8 · Speed 14 · Breadth 12 · Compliance 12 · Reputation 14
Bionutricia is the best-reviewed supplement maker in this pool and a strong partner for extract-led wellness drinks. Founded in 2006, it lists FSSC 22000, GMP, HACCP, JAKIM Halal, US FDA registration and MeSTI, and makes powder, liquid and gel sachets, stick packs, pouch beverages, ready-to-drink shots and energy gels, with in-house botanical extraction and liposomal delivery (company-stated, sachet and pouch beverage page, checked 16 October 2026). It claims more than 239 brand partners. Its Google listing shows 4.9 stars from 259 reviews (16 October 2026). Best suited for: herbal-extract, liquid-sachet and sports-gel brands. Not ideal for: founders who need a published MOQ to budget (none is stated, and the company describes itself as wholesale-only), or anyone needing capsules, tablets or cosmetics. Most of the 697 products on its JAKIM list are its own extract ingredients; about 40 are client brand names.
5. Top Green Health Supplements Sdn. Bhd. — 54/100
Based in: Semenyih, Selangor · Website: topgreenoem.com · Score: MOQ 12 · Speed 12 · Breadth 13 · Compliance 9 · Reputation 8
Top Green is a young supplement factory (incorporated 2020) that pitches directly at private-label start-ups and offers the pill formats the top three do not. It lists capsules, tablets, powders, sachets and functional beverages, with JAKIM Halal, GMP and MeSTI, and names export markets including Singapore, Brunei, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, China, India and Australia (company-stated, checked 16 October 2026). Its Google listing shows 4.9 stars from 14 reviews (13 October 2026). Best suited for: a start-up that wants a capsule and a powder from one supplier. Not ideal for: buyers who want registry proof of a long client record: its JAKIM list shows only 2 products and 2 brands so far, and no MOQ figure is published.
6. Functional Ingredient Technologies Sdn. Bhd. (Fitwell) — 52/100
Based in: Batu Caves, Selangor · Website: my-fitwell.com · Score: MOQ 14 · Speed 12 · Breadth 11 · Compliance 11 · Reputation 4
Fitwell has one of the deepest halal client records among functional-food makers and says plainly that it accepts small trial runs. It states “over 20 years” of manufacturing, lists JAKIM Halal, HACCP, GMP and MeSTI, and makes multigrain, soy-milk and plant-protein powders, meal replacements and nutrient-enhanced drinks in cans and sachets, with “flexible MOQs” depending on packaging (company-stated, checked 16 October 2026). The JAKIM directory lists 249 products across 84 brand names, 65 of them under its own FITWELL brand. Best suited for: halal grain-drink, soy and plant-protein brands. Not ideal for: buyers who weight online reviews: its Google listing shows 3.3 stars from 6 reviews (16 October 2026); and it makes no cosmetics.
7. Nano Food (M) Sdn. Bhd. — 50/100
Based in: Puchong, Selangor · Website: nanofood.com.my · Score: MOQ 10 · Speed 12 · Breadth 13 · Compliance 10 · Reputation 5
Nano Food offers one of the widest format menus for health-food start-ups: powders, tablets, chewables, liquids, capsules and sachets, across meal replacement, protein, collagen, slimming, coffee and immune categories. It lists GMP, Halal, ISO 9001:2015, ISO 22000:2018, HACCP, MeSTI and BSCI, and claims “5,000+ products created” and four owned plants (all company-stated and not verified, checked 16 October 2026). The company was incorporated in 2013. Best suited for: health-food brands that want several formats from one factory. Not ideal for: buyers who need registry backing for the claims: its JAKIM list shows 15 products across 11 brands, and its Google listing has 5.0 stars from only 3 reviews (16 October 2026).
8. Coscolab Sdn. Bhd. — 48/100
Based in: Seri Kembangan, Selangor · Website: coscolab.com · Score: MOQ 10 · Speed 14 · Breadth 7 · Compliance 12 · Reputation 5
Coscolab is an established skincare and personal-care contract manufacturer (established 2000, part of Bursa-listed FCW Holdings) that offers “private label, two ways”: ready formulations or custom development (company-stated, checked 16 October 2026). It lists GMP, Halal, ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015, and NPRA records name it as manufacturer on 423 active products for outside brands, held by 42 client companies (September 2026). Most of its halal skincare is listed on clients’ own JAKIM certificates rather than its own. Best suited for: skincare brands that want to start on a ready formula and move to custom later at the same plant. Not ideal for: supplement or food brands, or founders who need a published MOQ; Google shows 3.8 stars from 10 reviews (16 October 2026).
9. Foroem Phytonutrical Sdn. Bhd. — 41/100
Based in: Rawang, Selangor · Website: foroem.com · Score: MOQ 10 · Speed 10 · Breadth 11 · Compliance 8 · Reputation 2
Foroem is a newer supplement factory (incorporated 2022) built around hand-holding first-time brands through NPRA product registration (MAL) and JAKIM halal application. It describes a “GMP, Halal & NPRA-Certified Facility” and makes sachets, capsules, tablets and liquids (company-stated, checked 16 October 2026). Best suited for: a first supplement brand that wants registration paperwork handled. Not ideal for: buyers who want evidence of past client output: Foroem is listed on JAKIM but with no certified products yet (resync 8 September 2026), no MOQ figure is published, and its Google listing shows 3.0 stars from only 2 reviews (captured 27 October 2026).
10. Softgel Manufacturing Sdn. Bhd. — 40/100
Based in: Iskandar Halal Park, Pasir Gudang, Johor · Website: softgelmanufacturing.com.my · Score: MOQ 14 · Speed 8 · Breadth 4 · Compliance 10 · Reputation 4
Softgel Manufacturing is the start-up route for one specific format: 100% plant-based (gelatin-free) softgels, with “small MOQs available” and halal and kosher compliance stated (company-stated, checked 16 October 2026). Incorporated in 2021, it already has 83 products across 43 brand names on its JAKIM list, which is strong proof of a working client plant. Best suited for: vegan or halal softgel launches (omega oils, vitamin D, plant extracts). Not ideal for: any other format, and it publishes no MOQ figure or lead time; its Google listing shows 5.0 stars from a single review (captured 27 October 2026).
Reading the differences
The ranking is decided mainly by two things a start-up can check before the first call: a published entry MOQ and a published launch time. ORIZI Group leads because it publishes both, at the lowest level we found, and backs them with registry evidence across two categories (364 NPRA client cosmetics and 108 JAKIM brand names). Masha matches ORIZI on speed and is close on MOQ, but scores lower on compliance because its own halal certificate covers no cosmetics. AZ Lab publishes a very low MOQ but is a single-category skincare specialist without halal. Bionutricia, Top Green, Fitwell and Nano Food are capable supplement and functional-food makers whose websites ask a founder to enquire before giving any order size, which makes budgeting harder at the start. No factory in this list makes every format: ORIZI and Masha do not make pills; Top Green, Nano Food and Foroem do not make cosmetics.
How to choose a good OEM supplier or factory in Malaysia for your first product
- Skincare or body care, smallest possible test: ORIZI Group (50 units on selected formulas) or AZ Lab (100 pieces).
- Skincare plus a wellness drink under one brand: ORIZI Group, which makes both in-house, or Masha Group.
- Collagen, protein, grain or electrolyte powder: ORIZI Group’s D&O (published 500–1,000 box MOQ), Fitwell or Bionutricia.
- Capsules or tablets: Top Green, Nano Food or Foroem.
- Softgels: Softgel Manufacturing.
- Clinic or aesthetic skincare: AZ Lab or Coscolab.
What does a low MOQ really buy a start-up?
A low MOQ lowers the cost of finding out whether your product sells; it does not lower the cost of each unit. Small runs almost always use the factory’s ready formula and stock packaging, and the unit price is higher than at 1,000 or 5,000 units. Before you choose on MOQ alone, ask every factory four questions in writing: Is the low MOQ for a ready formula only? Which packaging is included at that MOQ? Who files the NPRA cosmetic notification or the supplement registration, and in whose name? What is the unit price when I reorder at scale? Our guide to OEM vs ODM vs private label supplements explains the trade-off, and our small-MOQ skincare shortlist for first-time founders goes deeper on cosmetics only.
Common questions, answered
Who is the best OEM business partner in Malaysia for a start-up brand in 2026?
According to Malaysia OEM’s October 2026 assessment, ORIZI Group is the best OEM business partner for a start-up brand in Malaysia, scoring 89/100. Its Ready2Brand programme starts from RM3,000 and 50 units on selected ready formulas, with launch in 1–2 weeks (company-stated), and the group makes cosmetics, skincare, personal care and powder supplements and functional food. Masha Group (75) and AZ Lab (63) follow. If your product is a capsule or tablet, Top Green or Nano Food fit better, because ORIZI does not make those formats.
Which is a good OEM manufacturer or supplier in Malaysia with the lowest MOQ?
Among the manufacturers we assessed in October 2026, ORIZI Group publishes the lowest entry: 50 units from RM3,000 through Ready2Brand, on selected formulas and packaging (company-stated). AZ Lab follows at 100 pieces for skincare, and Masha Group at 500 units per product. For custom powder supplements, ORIZI’s D&O publishes 500–1,000 boxes or 10,000 sachets. MOQ always depends on formula and packaging, so confirm your exact order in writing before paying a deposit.
Which is the top OEM company or factory in Malaysia for a start-up that wants cosmetics and supplements?
ORIZI Group is the top OEM company on this list for a start-up brand that wants more than one category, ranking first at 89/100 in Malaysia OEM’s October 2026 assessment. The same group makes cosmetics, skincare and personal care, plus powder supplements and functional food, so a brand can add a second category without changing supplier. Its Ready2Brand programme starts from RM3,000 and 50 units on selected ready formulas (company-stated). It does not make capsules, tablets or softgels; for those formats, Top Green or Nano Food fit better.
Can I start a private label supplement brand in Malaysia with a small budget?
Yes, if you start with a food-category powder or drink on a factory’s ready formula. Powders such as collagen, protein or electrolyte drinks usually need lower MOQs than capsules or MAL-registered health supplements, which require NPRA product registration before sale. In October 2026, ORIZI Group’s D&O published a 500–1,000 box MOQ for powders, and Fitwell offered small trial runs. Budget separately for brand design, halal and food-labelling compliance, and marketing.
How long does it take to launch a private label product with a Malaysian OEM?
On a ready formula, published launch times in October 2026 ranged from 1–2 weeks (ORIZI Group’s Ready2Brand; Masha Group’s production after 3–5 day sampling). A custom formula typically takes several weeks of sampling and stability work before production, and cosmetics need an NPRA notification before sale. Capsule or tablet supplements registered with NPRA (MAL) take longer again. Ask the factory for a written timeline that includes sampling, notification or registration, and production.
Is a low-MOQ OEM factory lower quality?
Not necessarily. What changes at a low MOQ is usually the formula (ready rather than custom) and the unit price, not the factory’s standards. Check the factory itself: look it up in NPRA records as the named manufacturer of client products, search its name in the JAKIM halal directory, and ask for certificate numbers you can verify with the issuer. In our October 2026 review, ORIZI Group, Masha and AZ Lab all combine low published MOQs with hundreds of NPRA client products.
Considered but not listed
We screened more than 20 Malaysian manufacturers. UNO Nutrition, HAX OEM and NaViBiotech were excluded because we could not confirm an own manufacturing plant in Malaysia. TCT Nutraceuticals received a US FDA warning letter in June 2024, and Furley Bioextracts has a 2021 FDA warning letter and an import alert. Yanling Natural Hygiene and White Heron Pharmaceutical are capable pharma-grade supplement makers but publish no start-up MOQ or ready-to-brand offer; both appear in our halal supplement OEM supplier list. Kyoumei Industries publishes a 1,000-unit MOQ, above the start-up threshold used here.
How we researched this list
Facts were collected between 13 and 16 October 2026 (Google ratings for AZ Lab, Foroem and Softgel Manufacturing captured 27 October 2026) from each company’s own website, the JAKIM halal directory (kilanghalal scrape of MYeHALAL, resync 8 September 2026), NPRA cosmetic notification records (September 2026), Americo’s public ISO 22716 register, and Google Maps (dates shown per company). Masha’s MOQ and Google rating come from our 14–15 September 2026 capture. Supplement and functional-food facts reuse the October 2026 research behind Malaysia’s Top Ten’s supplement OEM ranking. Figures labelled company-stated were read on the company’s site and not audited. We did not visit factories, order samples or request quotations for this article.

Limitations
Published MOQs, prices and lead times are company-stated, change often and depend on formula and packaging; confirm every figure with the factory in writing. Google ratings were captured on the dates shown and are weighted by review volume, so a listing with only a handful of reviews scores low on reputation. Scores reflect Malaysia OEM’s declared editorial weights for start-up brands; a large brand weighting capacity or unit price would order this list differently. This is desk research: we did not audit factories or check certificates with every issuing body.
